Just use regular lists in FreeRTOS.c. O(n) lookups should be fine.

After bootstrapping build, if we want to do an out-of-tree build (ie: in the
OOT-build dir) we have a build failure because build system relies on
the OOT-build/src directory exists

* Import rbtreehash-list from gnulib.
The main change to get this to build was to remove 3 includes from
config.h (actual code change in configure.ac) because lib/Makefile.am
doesn't contain the correct flags to find the files referenced there.
Instead I sprinkled necessary includes throughout the source code.
This feels like less of a hack regardless, so hopefully that's OK.
I'm not actually using the new library. Just got it to build.

It appears that FreeRTOS wastes a space on the stack, where x0 would be
saved. Am I missing something?
Correctly read mstatus as it is saved on the stack as well. This same
mechanism should also work for FPU registers, although there's more work
to be done before we get there.

Real Time Transfer (RTT) is an interface specified by SEGGER based on
basic memory reads and writes to transfer data bidirectionally between
target and host.
Every target that supports so called "background memory access", which
means that the target memory can be accessed by the debugger while the
target is running, can be used.
RTT is especially of interest for targets which do not support Serial
Wire Output (SWO) (e.g. ARM Cortex-M0) or where using semihosting is
not possible (e.g. real-time applications) [1].
The data transfer is organized in channels where each channel consists
of an up- and/or down-channel. See [2] for more details.
Channels are exposed via TCP connections. One or more RTT server can be
assigned to each channel to make them accessible to an unlimited number
of TCP connections.
The current implementation does not respect buffer flags which are used
to determine what happens when writing to a full buffer.
Note that the implementation is designed in a way that the RTT
operations can be directly performed by an adapter (e.g. J-Link).

Since libusb-0.1 might be provided by libusb-compat, it will depend on
libusb-1.0, so needs to be mentioned before it in the link command
line, this is relevant for static linking.

Don't hardcode the type for the array, just output the array initializer
so the includer can choose the type and storage class, zero-terminate at
will and so on.

Using custom build-time tools is always more problematic, especially
for cross-compiling.
This alternative implementation assumes "od" (IEEE Std 1003.1-2001)
and sed are available which should be the case for any reasonably
modern system.

Main changes include moving over to using HIDAPI rather than libusb-1.0
and cleaning up to merge into master. Support for reset using srst has
also been added.
It has been tested on all the mbed boards as well as the Freedom board
from Freescale. These boards only implement SWD mode, however JTAG mode
has been tested with a Keil ULINK2 and a stm32 target - but requires a lot
more work.

An alternative approach to show how much cleaner the pure pkg-config
way is.
This changes the discovery procedures for libusb-1.0 and libusb-0.1,
making them depend on pkg-config being properly installed and
configured, including the necessary build host configuration for the
cross-builds (see
http://www.flameeyes.eu/autotools-mythbuster/pkgconfig/cross-compiling.html)
It should make it possible to compile OpenOCD without changes and
extra effort on GNU/Linux, FreeBSD users would need to supply a .pc
file for their libusb implementation or add LIBUSB1_LIBS and
LIBUSB1_CFLAGS to the configure environment.

Rewrite the Altera USB Blaster dongle driver :
- make extensive use of byte-shift mode, to improve JTAG
speed.
This is the main reason of the rewrite. It improves the
memory dumps with a factor 3 at least, and upload 100
times, from 1 kBytes/sec to 100 kBytes/sec with a
USB-Blaster connected to an Altera Virtual JTAG TAP +
OpenRISC CPU.
- split the low level API part (between FTDI and FTD2xx)
from core driver, so that in the future, if both libftdi
and ftd2xx can coexist, the driver will be able to switch
dynamically from one access to the other.

The configuration script check for libusb-1.0 availability first and only
if not found check for libusb-0. So if both libraries are installed on the
system the build script will use libusb-1.0
It's possible to force compiling with libusb-0 with the --enable-libusb0 switch.
If the driver support only libusb0 the script check anly for it.

Compared to original patch a few nits were fixed:
- remove stricmp usage
- unsigned compare fix
- printf formatting fixes
- fixed a bug with overrunning a memory buffer allocated with malloc.
Rather than having to configure/build jimtcl openocd
will do this as part of its own build.
To use an external jimtcl lib specify disable-internal-jimtcl
to the configure step.

you can now set a variable in a script like set version [version].
Also version takes an optional argument "git" to show git version
of source. If git is not installed during the build, then this
will yield an error that is ignored during the build and "version git"
returns an empty string.

Moves definitions for each layer into their own file, eliminating
layering violations in the built-in TCL code. Updates src/Makefile.am
rules to include all files in the final startup.tcl input file, and
others Makefile.am rules to distribute the new files in our packages.
Create src/openocd.h to hold declarations previously made internally
by src/main.c and src/server/server.c. This ensures all functions
are verified to be in-sync at compile time (rather than at link),
making it easier to track down bugs.
The hello module provides the 'hello' command, printing a greetings
to the command console. It can grow to serve as pedagogical example
of services that OpenOCD developers should use: a runnable style guide.
After reading a bit further, it appears that ws2_32 (Windows Sockets 2)
is included in all versions of Windows and backwards compatible with
wsock32, at least according to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms740673%28VS.85%29.aspx.
Only Win95 seems to require a manual installation; is not a big deal.
So I think we can drop this whole business of detecting 64 bit MinGW and
just use -lws2_32 for all MinGW platforms.
- The guess-rev.sh script is now a tweaked version of "setlocalversion" as
seen in Linux, U-Boot, and various other projects. When it finds source
control support (git, hg, svn) it uses IDs from there. Else (specific
to this project) it reports itself as "-snapshot", e.g. from gitweb.
I verified this new "guess-rev.sh" script runs under Cygwin.
- Also update the generic version strings to be like "0.3.0-dev" (during
development) instead of the very long "0.3.0-in-development". These also
show up in the PDF docs. For better tracking, we might eventually change
these strings to include the version IDs too.
- Change the startup banner version strings so they include the guess-rev
output. Development and release versions with GIT will be like
