Add latest verified version of Mellanox Spectrum-family switch firmware,
for Spectrum (13.2008.2406), Spectrum-2 (29.2008.2406) and Spectrum-3
(30.2008.2406).
This release contains the following fixes and improvements:
- MIRROR_SAMPLER_ACTION.mirror_probability_rate inverted.
- When adjacency is replaced-if-inactive (RATR.opcode=3), bad parameter was
reported when replacing an active entry.
- TC pool occupancy watermark not cleared after port splits.
- Per-TC counter of ECN-marked packets supported.
- When duplicating VXLAN packets for head-end replication, number of
lookups was limited to 254, while Spectrum>=2 support 4K.
- Deadlock on port activation when 3 1x ports are active in a single port
cluster on Spectrum-3.
- A storm of congestion threshold events generated on stably-congested
traffic when a 200 Gbps port is flapped on Spectrum-3.
- Incorrect early scheduling parameters for 50G 2-way split on Spectrum-2.
- Timeouts when accessing certain CRspace addresses.
- Enable sampling trapped packets.

Add version 3.12.1 (released the 2021-02-18) of firmware for Silabs
WF200. This firmware is necessary for the wfx driver currently hosted in
the staging/ directory of the Linux kernel.

This release fixes the following issues (among others):
- Rx pause packet reaction latency on Spectrum-3
- Certain high-numbered flow counters would not work on Spectrum-2.
- FW freeze on Spectrum-1 when under heavy PTP traffic load.
- Mirroring traffic to the CPU on Spectrum-2.
- Shared headroom would not be exhausted before drops started occurring.
- Per-priority Rx discard counters were not always cleared.
- 400-Gbps ports with PFC enabled kept sending pause frames without buffer
pressure.
- Several issues in flow control and traffic admittance, and FW freeze
after an on-the-fly shared buffer reconfiguration.
- A number of issues in forwarding line speed traffic to partially split
8x ports on Spectrum-3.
- A number of issues related to in-service FW upgrade (ISSU / ISFU).
- Port shaper influenced ingress rate when PFC was enabled.
- FW freeze after a port was set admin down when unrelated ports were
congested.

The kernel when booted in ACPI mode with SMBIOS/DMI
data uses that data to set the machine manufacture/model.
The RPi's WiFi driver uses the machine string to
select the correct firmware image. Because of
this, an additional link to select the correct
firmware is needed.

It appears the link direction was incorrect resulting

Add latest verified version of Mellanox Spectrum-family switch firmware,
for Spectrum (13.2008.2018), Spectrum-2 (29.2008.2018) and Spectrum-3
(30.2008.2018).
This release fixes the following issues (among others):
- Prioritization of trapped control traffic on Spectrum-2 and Spectrum-3.
- Several edge cases where the FW could get stuck on Spectrum-2 and
Spectrum-3.
- FW flash issues on Spectrum-3
- Apparent resource exhaustion on Spectrum-3 due to wrong fencing.
- When trapping dropped packets from several TCs, they would only get
reported under one TC.
- Incorrect rejection of RIF counters with indices over 16 bits.
- An issue where port split might fail after port saw heavy traffic.
- Certain large policer CIR caused effective zero CIR.
- A race that would cause drops due to lack of buffer space.
And includes the following new features:
- Support for shared port headroom
- A new trap for L2 IPv6 DHCP traffic
- On Spectrum-2 and Spectrum-3, support ACL actions that perform ALU
operations between packet fields, immediate values and general-purpose
registers
- Early support for 8-way port split on Spectrum-3

The vendor driver rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v4.0.1_6911.20130308 includes
new firmware files. These were extracted from data statements in that
driver to form these files.
Before this update, with version 80 of the firmware, the USB interface
of the RTL8192CU WLAN controller often locked itself up:
usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-2: device not accepting address 4, error -110
usb 1-2: device not accepting address 5, error -110
usb usb1-port2: unable to enumerate USB device
usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 2-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110
On ARMv5 based GARDENA smart gateways running Linux 4.19.78, this can
be reliably reproduced by rebooting (warm) the gateway multiple times
(max. 50 attempts needed).
Unlike users having this issues on a USB Wi-Fi dongle, resetting of the
chip by replugging is not an option on this gateway due to the lack of
any power cut functionality. Therefore, a (cold) reboot of the whole
gateway is needed.
Updating the firmware of the RTL8192CU WLAN controller from version
v80.0 to v88.2 (as per output of rtl8xxxu) resolves this issue.
The problem did no show up anymore for 1000 restarts.
Please note:
- Only rtl8192cufw_TMSC.bin tested (mainly on rtl8xxxu)
- rtl8192cu seems to work as well as before, but I can not rule out
that this new firmware version brings unwanted changes.
The Realtek drivers containing v88.2 of the firmware
(v4.0.1_6911.20130308 to v4.0.9_25039.20171107) have some changes
compared to the version v3.4.2_3727.20120404, for which I do not know
if those should be reflected in rtl8192cu.
Unrelated of the initially described USB problem, another issue still
remains after updating the firmware: Using the rtl8192cu driver,
scanning for available SSIDs yields no more results after a few hundred
scans (iw wlan0 scan). rtl8xxxu does not suffer from this problem.

Brcmfmac driver has firmware files coming from both Broadcom and
Cypress, the former Broadcom IoT BU. To better maintain files from
different sources, add a cypress folder and firmware/clm_blob files for
below chips:

- 43340
- 43362
- 4339
- 43430
- 43455
- 4354
- 4356
- 43570
- 4373
- 54591
The clm_blob files are on a generic world-wide safe version with
conservative power settings which is designed to comply with regulatory
but may not provide best performance on all boards. Users should use the
clm_blob files from their board vendors if available.

This commit adds the SDIO firmware for ath10k/QCA9377 cards. I obtained
the file from the Boundary Devices repo [1] before discovering that Kale
Valo's repo [2] is the original source location. It has the same license
as the existing firmware-5.bin file. Support for QCA9377 WiFi was merged
for Linux 5.7 [3].
The upstream folder is named 'untested' though this is explained in the
QCA9377 support RFT post [3] and comments. I also show dmesg output in
the same comments. Support for QCA9377 WiFi was merged in Linux 5.7 [4].
Kale did say he would submit this in his next batch of things [5] but
that was ~5 months ago and I'm on a mission to drop out-of-tree patches
from the distro I maintain.

The Raspberry Pi 3A+ uses the same WiFi module and NVRAM as the 3B+ and

The rtw88/README should claim support for RTL8723DE devices, add them.
And also there will have confusion that the 802.11ac driver rtw88
supports an 802.11n device RTL8723DE, add the information to WHENCE.
To prevent some fo the distros not including WOW firmware but have WOW
support and cannot load firmware at the end, add a note for it.

This commit will add required Bluetooth firmware files for QCA9377. Files
are from the Boundary Devices repo [1] and are covered under the existing
QCA redistributable license, but need renaming to align with the upstream
driver firmware naming convention.

The linux-firmware repo does not contain many Broadcom (now Cypress)
Bluetooth patch-ram files, because we have never been able to get
permission to re-distribute those.
We do have one file for the for HTC Vive, which was submitted by HTC
themselves with permission from Cypress.
That file contain a "BCM20703A1 Generic USB 20Mhz fcbga_BU" patch-ram
build. The patch-ram files used by Windows for the Bluetooth module
in the XPS 15 9550, USB-id 0a5c:6410 is also a "BCM20703A1 Generic
USB 20Mhz fcbga_BU" patch-ram build. Since the build-parameters
(crystal MHz, package/module type used) between the 2 builds are an
exact match we can also use the HTC submitted patch-ram for the
XPS 15 9550. So lets add a symlink for this.
This will make the Bluetooth on the XPS 15 9550 work out of the box,
when linux-firmware is installed, without the user needing to go and
find a suitable patch-ram file themselves.
This has been tested on a XPS 15 9550 with both Bluetooth HID and
Bluetooth audio devices.

Update the firmwares extracted from Amlogic's last known release from
July 2019.
This commit updates several binaries already present for GXL, GXM and
G12A chips, but also adds:
- HEVC for G12A
- HEVC for SM1
- VP9 for GXL
- VP9 for SM1
The support for which - apart from HEVC, still in development - is

Bugfixes for QCA6174.
While at it, to avoid confusion, also change the name of driver to
'btqca' in WHENCE file because that's what it is called in kernel images
(drivers/bluetooth/btqca.ko). Of course we cannot change the name of
directory 'qca' and that has to remain forever, but better to fix the
documentation to make it clear what driver this is.

This adds the "minifw" version of the EIP197 firmware, which the inside-
secure driver will use as a fallback if the original full-featured
firmware cannot be found. This allows for using the inside-secure driver
and hardware without access to "official" firmware only available under
NDA. Note that this "minifw" was written by me (Pascal) specifically for
this driver and I am allowed by my employer, Verimatrix, to release this
for distribution with the Linux kernel.

This patch adds new FW for bnx2x, which addresses the following issues:
- TCP packet with padding can open TPA aggregation in GRO mode.
- Tx Silent Drops could cause HW error when statistics is not enabled for client.
- Transmission of tunneled packets over tx-only clients (with cos>0 in this case) followed by load/unload with DCB update (for instance), resulted in a Tx path halt.
- FORWARD_SETUP ramrod yielded a FW assert (x_eth_fp_hsi_ver_invalid).
The FW also adds support for direct update of RSS indirection table entry.

Now that the copy-firmware.sh script can create symlinks from the Link:
entries in the WHENCE file on the fly, remove the duplicate symlinks
from the filesystem.
One odd entry was intel/dsp_fw_cnl.bin which was listed both as symlink
and as a regular file. Both entries can be removed since the it's really
a symlink, so it will be recreated at installation time.
While at it, update the check_whence.py script to not look for the
existence of symlinks in the filesystem because they are created on the
fly at installation time by the copy_firmware.sh script.

firmware to distribute resources before chip bring up. Chelsio NIC
driver, cxgb4 searches for firmware config file at /lib/firmware/cxgb4/
directory.
Two predefined configuration files are available – default and
hashfilter. Default configuration file equally distributes
resources across all features, such as iSCSI, iWARP, Crypto, etc.
On the other hand, hashfilter configuration file borrows some
resources by disabling the iSCSI, iWARP, Crypto, etc. features,
and redistributes them to increase offloading more number of flows
to hardware via tc-flower.

Add the firmwares for various video compression standards that are
required to decode video on Amlogic SoCs using hardware acceleration.
They are listed under a custom redistributable license provided by
Amlogic.
Although the filelist is not complete yet (there are a _lot_ of
different codec/SoC combinations), the firmwares added here are
supported and tested with the work-in-progress mainline driver.
The latest submission for the mainline driver can be found here[1], and
the development tree can be found here[2].

Add AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) firmware to allow for the
updating of the SEV firmware outside of BIOS releases. Naming convention
and directory structure follows the convention defined in the kernel
driver in drivers/crypto/ccp/psp-dev.c
SEV firmware files are to be placed in the "amd" directory and names
should follow the pattern: amd_sev_fam<FAMILY>h_model<MODEL>h.sbin
where FAMILY is the two-digit hexadecimal value of the target processor
family (e.g. 17)
where MODEL is the two-digit hexadecimal value of the target processor
model (e.g. 01) or where the least significant nibble of the two-digit
hexadecimal value can be an 'x' to indicate a range of models
(e.g. 0x for 00 to of).
The firmware provided is version 0.17 build 11 and is for AMD family
17h processors with models in the range 00h to 0fh.

This patch adds new FW for bnx2x, which adds the following:
- TX VLAN filtering support.
- Enable TPA only for packets without VLAN.
It also addresses few critical issues,
- Fairness algorithm misbehaviour when minimum bandwidth configured
for all PFs.
- Error recovery issue on TAPE devices.
- FW not discarding FIP frames that are not designated to PF.
- Kernel driver initialization failure after preboot driver.
- VxLAN stops working after sending inner IP fragmented traffic.
- Issues in the following FW flows:
SD VLAN update, TX packet drop, packet padding flow, vlan add/remove.

Lemaker, the manufacturer of the Banana Pro board has always shipped
the NVRAM file from the Cubietech Cubietruck wifi for use with the
Ampak AP6181 43362 WiFi/BT module on the Banana Pro.
This commit adds a symlink from brcmfmac43362-sdio.lemaker,bananapro.txt
to brcm/brcmfmac43362-sdio.cubietech,cubietruck.txt to match this, making
the Wifi on the Banana Pro work OOTB.

Add a NVRAM file for the Ampak AP6210 Wifi/BT module as found on the
Cubietech Cubietruck board. This file is based on the existing
brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.AP6212.txt NVRAM file with the values adjusted
for the Cubietech Cubietruck board.

We are going to add more brcmfmac NVRAM files and some of these will have
spaces in their names, lets be consistens and use quotes around the
filenames of all brcmfmac NVRAM files.

These files come from the RealtekBluetoothUartPackage_2.17.119.0525 file
which can be downloaded from realtek.com. The download is marked as version
1.0.245.3 / 05/08/2017 on the download page.
The added rtl_bt/rtl8723bs_fw.bin file is called
rtl8723b_mp_bt40_fw_asic_rom_patch.bin in the download.
The added rtl_bt/rtl8723bs_config-OBDA8723.bin file is the
rtl8723b_config_internal.bin file with the UART baudrate changed to
1500000 bps.
I've examined aprox. 20 different Intel BYT/CHT boards, with an RTL8723BS
with the OBDA8723 ACPI ID for the bluetooth part. On these boards the
original firmware image uses either 1500000 or 3000000 bps, so 1500000 bps
is chosen as the safe option which should work everywhere.

Very late testing of the previous firmware revealed that some VFs were
locked out due to a multicast bug. The issue is resolved in this firmware.

Part of the code inside the lio_vsw_23xx.bin firmware image is under GPL,
but the LICENCE.cavium file neglects to indicate that. However,
LICENCE.cavium does correctly specify the license that covers the other
Cavium firmware images that do not contain any GPL code.
Fix the GPL compliance issue by adding a new file, LICENCE.cavium_liquidio,
which correctly shows the GPL boilerplate. This new file specifies the
licenses for all liquidio firmware, including the ones that do not have
GPL code.
Change the liquidio section of WHENCE to point to LICENCE.cavium_liquidio.
